yes. every kid. today announced that Renee Fuentes has joined the organization as communications manager. In her new role, Fuentes will support the organization’s communications and public affairs efforts as it works to advance education policies that put families at the center of decision-making and expand educational opportunity for every kid.
Fuentes brings more than a decade of experience in strategic communications, public affairs, and media relations. Most recently, she worked in public affairs and international development, developing communications plans, managing campaigns, and translating complex issues for diverse audiences.
At CRAFT | Media/Digital, her work included developing communication strategies for clients in policy advocacy, crisis communications, and brand reputation management. She worked across earned, paid, and owned channels to help clients hone messaging and cultivate relationships among trade association members, the media, and policymakers.
“Renee brings the kind of experience that will help us tell the story of why education freedom matters to families,” said Executive Director Craig Hulse. “Her addition expands our capacity as we continue working to transform education policy and empower families to give their kids the best learning experience possible.”
Fuentes holds a master’s degree in Latin American and hemispheric studies from George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from the University of Miami.
