(JEFFERSON CITY, MO.) – Today, Gov. Mike Parson signed Senate Bill 727, giving final approval to the expansion of the Empowerment Scholarship Program in Missouri.
A recent poll conducted by yes. every kid. foundation. found that a majority of Americans (63%), including Democrats, Independents, and Republicans, support expanding access to education savings accounts. That same poll found that Americans believe increased options would improve education overall.
“Every kid, regardless of home address or family income deserves the opportunity to pursue an education that meets their needs,” said Shannon Pahls, public affairs director, yes. every kid. “Senate Bill 727 will empower more families with education freedom and put them in control of their kids’ educational journey. We applaud Gov. Parson and the Missouri Legislature for their dedication to ensuring kids have access to the best possible education and that their options are not limited by their ZIP code.”
Background on SB 727:
