Why it matters:
- Gov. Ayotte has called for expanding education freedom in the face of opposition that wanted to end the state’s school choice program.
- Currently, the program is limited to just 5,300 Granite Staters.
- Legislation has been crafted to expand the program to every Granite State student.
A January 2025 poll found that seven-in-ten Granite Staters support education savings accounts.
