PHOENIX — In response to the full passage of House Bill 2853, the Arizona Empowerment Scholarship Account expansion, Craig Hulse issued the following statement on behalf of yes. every kid.:
“Arizona has taken a huge step forward as a leader to empower families. One of the key strengths of the Arizona Empowerment Scholarship Account is that it makes educational resources available to all families—regardless of background or income. All families will be able to eventually create the educational experience that respects the dignity and individuality of every child. More educators will have the opportunity to create new and innovative programs designed to serve the individual needs of students. Arizona’s forward-thinking policies such as this can serve as an exemplar for other states committed to giving all children access to the education that best fits their needs.
We applaud House Majority Leader Ben Toma for honoring families as the best decisionmakers regarding their child’s education. We’re grateful for the broad, local coalition of support that has stood by families to do what’s best for kids. yes. every kid. looks forward to working alongside policymakers, educators and families to activate a program that serves all.”
