Meaghan O’Brien brings more than a decade of experience advancing state and federal policy solutions that put families at the center of decision-making. Before joining yes. every kid., Meaghan served in the Office of Governor Kim Reynolds (R-IA), where she held multiple leadership roles, including as the director of state-federal relations and as a health policy advisor. In those capacities, she worked collaboratively with state legislators, agency leaders, and key stakeholders to improve health outcomes and elevate the voice of the state in the national policy arena.
At yes. every kid., Meaghan helps shape and implement advocacy strategies that support family-first education policy, empowering parents, students, and educators to champion flexible, community-driven approaches to learning.
Prior to her current role, Meaghan was a vice president of state issues at Stateside Associates, where she developed and led national political and public policy strategies for clients. She is originally from Arlington Heights, Illinois, and holds a B.A. in Health and Human Physiology with a minor in Political Science from the University of Iowa.
