Executive Director

Craig Hulse is the Executive Director of yes. every kid., an organization dedicated to transforming K-12 education and empowering all students to discover and apply their unique potential. Through supporting and building coalitions of diverse networks and partners, yes. every kid. supports innovative and transformative education policy that ensures all students can build a strong foundation for lifelong learning and impact.

Hulse brings to yes. every kid. over a decade of expertise in education policy, while also having spent significant time working for pioneering companies in the private sector. As Executive Director, Hulse oversees the lobbying team with efforts across the United States to direct education and influence campaigns to shape education policy that is open to the free flow of ideas and innovation.

Prior to joining yes. every kid., Craig Hulse managed policy and government affairs at Tesla and public policy and public affairs at Uber, leading its legislative efforts for western states and for its autonomous-vehicles initiatives nationwide. Previously, Hulse served as the Chief of Staff for the Nevada Speaker, Director of Government Affairs for Nevada’s Washoe County School District, and in leading roles in the charter school movement at StudentsFirst.

During his time as Chief of Staff in the Nevada Assembly, Hulse helped usher in notable education reforms, including universal education savings accounts, tax credit scholarships for private schools, and the creation of an achievement school district. 

Craig Hulse holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Nevada and a juris doctor from the Washburn University School of Law. He also serves as University Regent at Washburn University and is the current Chair of the Board for Ready Colorado, a policy education group based in Denver.
