Alexandria Tapia
Director of Government Affairs
Alexandria (Alex) Tapia is a government affairs and public policy professional with over a decade of experience fostering bipartisan collaboration at the state, local, and federal levels. Her career has focused on advancing innovative, future-oriented solutions that strengthen democratic institutions and expand opportunity through effective public-private partnerships.
She currently serves as director of government affairs at yes. every kid., where she leads advocacy efforts across a portfolio of key states to expand education freedom for students and families nationwide.
Prior to joining yes. every kid., Alex served as senior director of government affairs at AM LLC, overseeing a national strategy that aligned public policy with business growth across multiple states. She also served as vice president of strategic initiatives and government affairs at Aardwolf Laboratories, where she led the launch of a multi-state cannabis laboratory network.
A proud New Mexican, Alex represented the Land of Enchantment as Miss Rodeo New Mexico 2014 and remains involved in advocating for the western way of life. She has worked for nonprofits, U.S. Senate and congressional campaigns, and the New Mexico State Legislature. Alex earned a master’s degree in political management from The George Washington University and graduated with high honors from New Mexico State University, where she received dual bachelor’s degrees in government and history.
